I’m sure they’re fine as Starship is a different design  than Dragon. It was an interesting failure since the test was over at that point. Something must have let go and caused a big leak.

Now that can’t be fixed with an OTA update

Welp, looks like I’ll be sitting on a couple of cars for awhile. We have a great and very interesting client who is an engineer and literal rocket scientist . Vandenberg is nearby, but most of his time is spent working  in Florida or Texas . Whenever he’s back home here he hauls his old machines in for some going through. The joke is that every time he comes home and tries to get anything done, SpaceX blows something up and he gets called off to unfuck them. Sure enough...

I always rejoice when this happens during unmanned testing. Let’s get the explosions out of the way, before the rocket motor is used to carry people.

They’d just finished a test run, and were defueling the rocket. Best guess by people smarter than me speculate that the change in pressure popped the umbilicals, which resulted in a massive leak.
